Ramadan Food Distribution-March 30th 2024

In the Queens, Jamaica neighborhood, there is a vibrant and diverse community comprising individuals from various backgrounds and circumstances. Among them are many low-income residents who are currently experiencing challenging times. In response to the needs of our community members, we have initiated a program to distribute Ramadan Food. This program represents only the initial step in our commitment to providing support to our neighbors in need.

The Ramadan Food Distribution 2024, a collaborative effort between Save The People and UMR, made a profound impact on our community. Held on March 30th, 2024, in Jamaica, NY, the event transcended mere food distribution, fostering connections, and demonstrating solidarity. Attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute and support those in need, emphasizing the well-organized nature of the event and the warmth of generosity exhibited by all involved.

Our goal is to expand our efforts in the future and to continue offering assistance to those who require it most. By coming together and demonstrating acts of kindness, inclusivity, and solidarity, we aim to make a tangible and positive impact on the lives of those within our community. IMPACT REPORT- RAMADAN FOOD DISTRIBUTION 2024

The Ramadan Food Distribution 2024, organized collaboratively by Save The People and UMR, has left an indelible mark on our community. With over 250 attendees and 900 plus individuals, including Save The People’s President, Muhammad Shahidullah, and UMR Director Mohammad Faruque, Toby N. Stavisky (New York State Senator), Andrew Adams (New York City Speaker), Humayun Khan (Former Joint Editor of the Jamaica Muslim Center), Selim Khan (President of Masjid Kubra), Sister Halima (Representing the United Nations Association), Imam Abu Jafar Beg (Jamaica Muslim Center), Dr. Abul Kashem (Advisor to the World Humanity Service), Aakash Rahman (CEO of Asha Home Care), alongside members of the NYPD and other dedicated community members, the event was a resounding success. Their presence made the event even more special, showing how different parts of our community can come together.

The event happened on March 30th, 2024, at 87-41 165th St, Jamaica, NY 11432. It wasn’t just about giving out food; it was also about bringing people together and showing unity. The peaceful Saturday afternoon setting made everyone feel connected and united. People who came to the event said it made a big difference. They were grateful for the opportunity to come together and support those in need. They mentioned that everything was well-organized, everyone was very generous, and the event left them feeling good.
