Heading : Hoops Against Hate Sub Heading : NYC Youth Unite at Open Gym Event Promoting Peace and Solidarity________________________________________ Patt Cummins: In a spirited effort to build unity and foster positive engagement among young men, JMC Youth, Save the People, and the NYC Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes joined forces to host a community basketball game on May 18, 2025, at the Elhaam Academy Open Gym in Briarwood, Queens. The event, which ran from 1 PM to 3 PM, drew dozens of boys and young men between the ages of 8 and 25, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere that emphasized brotherhood and community strength.
