Deeply honored to join today’s NYPD Academy dedication ceremony honoring Detective Steven McDonald on behalf of Queens.

It was a privilege to stand alongside Mayor Zohran Mamdani, NYPD Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch, New York State Attorney General Letitia James, and Queens Borough President Donovan Richards as we paid tribute to Detective McDonald’s extraordinary legacy.

Today’s ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of the brave men and women of the NYPD who protect our communities every day. We also recognize the strength and resilience of their families, who share in those sacrifices.
