MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER & CEO

Imam Muhammad Shahidullah

At Save the People, we believe that our youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow — they are the changemakers of today. Youth engagement is at the heart of our mission because when young people are empowered with knowledge, character, and opportunity, entire communities rise.

We are committed to creating safe spaces where young minds can grow in confidence, develop leadership skills, and actively participate in building safer, stronger neighborhoods. Through mentorship, civic dialogue, education, and community service, we aim to nurture a generation guided by integrity, compassion, and purpose.

To our youth: your voice matters, your ideas matter, and your future matters. Together, we will continue turning challenges into opportunities and hope into action.

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Elhaam Academy Hosts Interfaith Living Museum Experience

In a meaningful step toward fostering cultural awareness and interfaith understanding, Save The People with Elhaam Academy hosted an enriching Interfaith Living Museum program, offering students an immersive educational experience beyond the classroom walls.

The initiative brought participating students into some of New York City’s most prominent cultural institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and 92Y, where they engaged in structured learning activities designed to broaden their understanding of history, art, and diverse traditions.

The program served as a living classroom, encouraging students to connect academic knowledge with real-world experiences.

From Heritage to Hope: Final Chapter of Interfaith Youth Program

In a moving celebration of shared heritage and newfound friendship, the final event of the Elhaam-Kinneret Interfaith Program took place on June 11, 2025, organized by Save The People.

The event brought together Muslim and Jewish students, families, and educators for a day of reflection, discovery, and unity.

Held as both a concluding ceremony and cultural exhibition, the event marked the end of a six-month journey that reshaped hearts and minds across two schools Elhaam Academy and Kinneret Day School.

A Lesson in Peace, Drawn Together

In a world often marked by religious divisions, a group of Muslim and Jewish elementary school students gathered in Manhattan for a different purpose to celebrate each other’s faiths, traditions, and shared humanity.

On a school day, the Jewish Heritage Museum in New York City became the backdrop for the fifth collaborative event between students from Kinneret Day School and Elhaam Academy, powered by Save The People.

The program, which brought together children from Jewish and Muslim backgrounds across multiple sessions, continued its mission of fostering peace, respect, and mutual understanding through hands-on learning and open dialogue.
