About Queens, Jamaica, there exists a vibrant and diverse community comprising individuals from various backgrounds and circumstances. Among them are many low-income residents who are currently experiencing challenging times. In response to the needs of our community members, we have initiated a program to distribute groceries during Eid. This program represents only the initial step in our commitment to supporting our needy neighbors.
The Eid Grocery Distribution 2024, organized by Save The People and supported by UMR, ASHO, AZMG , MUNN Social Services , COPO, and World Humanity Services, made a profound impact on our community. Held on June 15, 2024, at 11:30 AM in Jamaica, NY, the event transcended mere food distribution, fostering connections, and demonstrating solidarity. Attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute and support those in need, emphasizing the well-organized nature of the event and the warmth of generosity exhibited by all involved.
We aim to broaden our efforts in the future and continue assisting those who need it most. By uniting and showing kindness, inclusivity, and solidarity, we strive to make a tangible and positive impact on the lives of our community members. Through our combined efforts, we seek to create a nurturing environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and cared for. MUNA Social Services offers unique programs and services MUNA SOCIAL SERVICES that seek to improve the individual, family, and the greater society by imparting Islamic knowledge, promoting social service, engaging in community activism, and much more. IMPACT REPORT – FOOD DISTRIBUTION 2024
The Eid Grocery Distribution event held on June 15, 2024, organized by Save The People and supported by UMR, AZMG, MUNA Social Services, COPO, ASHO, and World Humanity Services, left a lasting impact on our community, echoing the success and spirit of the grocery’s initiative. With a distinguished guest list representing various sectors including government, business, academia, media, and community activism, the event served as a beacon of unity and solidarity. Attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to unite and support those in need, highlighting the event’s well-organized nature and the sense of camaraderie it fostered.
In addition to the positive feedback received, it’s noteworthy that more than 300 families
and over 900 individuals benefited from this event, underscoring its significance in providing essential groceries for our community. This further emphasizes the profound impact of community-driven initiatives in addressing societal challenges and promoting inclusivity.
As we reflect on the event’s success, it inspires us to continue collaborating towards building relationships and effecting positive change.
