In the neighborhood of Queens, Jamaica, there exists a vibrant and diverse community comprising individuals from various backgrounds and circumstances. Among them are many low-income residents who are currently experiencing challenging times. In response to the needs of our community members, we have initiated a program to
distribute Food For All during the summer season. This program represents only the initial step in our commitment to supporting our neighbors in need.

The Food For All 2024, a collaborative effort between Save The People and MUNA Social Services, made a profound impact on our community. Held on April 27, 2024, in Jamaica, NY, the event transcended mere food distribution, fostering connections, and demonstrating solidarity. Attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute
and support those in need, emphasizing the well-organized nature of the event and the warmth of generosity exhibited by all involved.

Over the years, MUNA Social Services has evolved into a nationally recognized grassroots organization. The organization is empowered by a unique emphasis focused on the personal development of individuals through comprehensive Islamic education and active involvement in communities across the country by providing opportunities for social service, interfaith initiatives, youth programs, and community development.

IMPACT REPORT-FOOD DISTRIBUTION 2024: FOOD FOR ALL

The Food Distribution event held on April 27, 2024, organized by Save The People and supported by MUNA, left an enduring impact on our community, echoing the success and spirit of the Food Distribution 2024, Food for All. With a distinguished guest list representing various sectors, including government, business, academia, media, and community activism, the event served as a beacon of unity and solidarity. Attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to come together and support those in need, highlighting the well-organized nature of the event and the sense of camaraderie it fostered.

In addition to the positive feedback received, it’s noteworthy that more than 100 families and 350 individuals benefited from this event, demonstrating its significance in providing food for all within our community. This further emphasizes the profound impact of community-driven initiatives in addressing societal challenges and fostering inclusivity.

As we reflect on the event’s success, it inspires us to continue collaborating towards building relationships and effecting positive change. The unity and solidarity demonstrated at the Food Distribution event exemplify the ethos of compassion and togetherness, guiding us towards a more equitable and inclusive society.
