What a powerful evening at #IftarInTheCity!

What a powerful evening at Iftar In The City

On March 21st, we gathered at Darul Uloom New York (DUNY) Masjid to break bread, reflect, and uplift the resilience of NYC’s Muslim communities.

“As we shared Iftar tonight, we were reminded that unity is our strength, diversity is our beauty, and community is our heart. Ramadan brings light — and tonight, we saw that light in each other.”

We were honored to hear inspiring words from:

• Commissioner Manny Castro, Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs

• Rasel Rahman, Queens Director, NYC Commission on Human Rights

• Mohammed Amen, Muslim Senior Advisor to the Mayor

• Vijah Ramjattan, Executive Director, Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes

• Kajori Choudhry, NYC Human Rights

• Atia Shahnaz, Muslim Women Liaison, NYC Mayor’s Office

• Mehedi Hasan, Muslim Liaison, NYC Mayor’s Office

Our evening was gracefully hosted by Imam Muhammad Shahidullah thank you for guiding us in faith and unity.

Special thanks to Save The People for your continued support and commitment.

Let’s continue building bridges, standing up for one another, and celebrating the beauty of our communities.
